Day of Dignity and Freedom
Dignity and freedom are not loud words. They reflect a daily choice: to help, to support, to stand firm. They are about the willingness to stay by each other’s side and not step back, even when it is most difficult.
On November 21, 2004, Ukrainians took to the streets to defend their right to fair elections. And on November 21, 2013, they stood up to preserve the country’s European path and the freedom of future generations. Both times, we were united by a shared sense of responsibility for our nation.
Today, we continue to hold this line — each in our own place. In good deeds, in supporting those around us, in helping those who need it. In the conviction that truth and freedom always endure.
