Mikhail Merkulov, CEO Arricano Real Estate Plc, won in the Personality of the Year in the real estate market nomination in 2016, which was held on November 24, 2016, by the vote of all members of the Forum in the field of real estate in Eastern Europe and Asia.

Forum participants were selecting the nominee in the new category of the Personality of the year award for the first time. In this category, the market participants and the invited experts were determining the most effective and successful representative of the real estate, which had an impact on the real estate sector and had made a significant contribution to the development of the industry in 2016. Mr. Merkulov was chosen among 13 applicants from different sectors of real estate, and won by a large margin.

Olga Solovey, director of Ukrainian Real Estate Club industry organization, which has jointly with EuropaProperty.com organized Forum, said: "Eastern Europe Awards in real estate introduced the nomination "Personality of the Year" for the first time so it is not only a person who made the notable input this year but probably for the last 2-3 years. There were a dozen nominees, and all of them are real professionals that made the choice even harder. What is more important about this overall nomination is that the Personality of the Year was not Jury members’ choice but people’s from market. More than 100 experts and market players who have visited the Eastern Europe Forum and Awards voted for Mikhail Merkulov. True recognition for a true professional!".

The top managers of companies operating in the real estate market in Eastern Europe and Asia, and potential investors were taking part in the EEA Real Estate Forum & Project Awards. Guests from Georgia, Austria, Great Britain, Belarus, Moldova and other countries have become the participants of the awarding ceremony of the best projects in the retail, office and residential real estate, the best teams in real estate management, brokerage and consulting services.

This year 11 best projects in the real estate and 8 - for professional achievements were awarded on the Second Annual Forum in the Region's Real Estate Sector. The winners in 19 nominations were selected by the real estate market professionals - an independent international jury. The voting and determining the winners of the award took place under the supervision of the EY methodological partner.
