Kolodii in shopping malls: How does Arricano popularize Ukrainian culture?
The Arricano Group of Companies began the spring with the traditional gathering of visitors to all its shopping malls at the national event — Kolodii (or, as it is also called, Masnytsia), in order to remind Ukrainians how beautiful, multifaceted and unique the culture of every corner of our country is.
On March 2, Prospekt shopping mall brought together both adults and children to demonstrate how successfully authenticity and modern entertainment can be combined. Visitors plunged into the atmosphere of traditional Ukrainian crafts thanks to a series of thematic master classes representing different regions of Ukraine: painting a clay musical bird (eastern Ukraine), making a motanka doll — an amulet originating from Chernihivska region (northern Ukraine), sculpting turtle doves from polymer clay (southern Ukraine), Petrykivka painting on dishes (central Ukraine), creating straw amulets (western Ukraine).
Everyone could not only show creative abilities, but also learn more about the cultural heritage of different parts of Ukraine. The festive atmosphere was complemented by interactive entertainment, performances of artists and treats with pancakes, as well as a show with the participation of acrobat Molfar and Mavka on stilts. Also, two children's schools joined the meeting of spring and the celebration of Kolodii: the Folk Art Collective of the Hopak Folk Dance Ensemble and the School of Jazz Art.

RayON shopping mall dedicated the day to the creation of its own symbols of spring, presented children with a puppet show "Spring Awakening of Nature with Mavka", which immersed viewers in the magical world of traditions and rituals, and also treated visitors to hot pancakes from the partner of the event — the Silpo supermarket. Fun dances, an interactive program with thematic characters added a spring mood and good emotions.
To give positive emotions to children and provide an opportunity to relax and have a good time for adults, despite the proximity to the front line, the Arricano group of companies continues to create events for the whole family in its shopping malls in Kryvyi Rih and Zaporizhzhia.
The meeting of Kolodii and the first days of spring in the Sun Gallery shopping mall took place in an atmosphere of warmth, joy and respect for Ukrainian traditions. Guests of the event not only enjoyed an interesting program, but also tasted delicious dumplings and pancakes from Silpo.
Children with particular enthusiasm participated in a master class on making birds. Everyone could choose their own style and color, creating bright symbols of spring. During the event, the host told the guests interesting facts about the traditions of Kolodii and the meeting of spring, and the animation program added even more positivity, energy and fun.
A good addition to the authentic Kolodii was the performance of the exemplary ensemble of the Ukrainian song "Ozhyna". Folk music brought guests together, and many not only sang along, but also willingly joined the dance, creating a real atmosphere of spring awakening.
Kolodii was also special in the CITY MALL: the event combined folk traditions with Cossack entertainment. Zaporizhzhia residents willingly joined the traditional ceremonial fun, a master class on painting the Cossack saber, where each participant could create their own unique design of this symbol of strength and courage. What Kolodii will be without a treat? CITY MALL together with Silpo treated all visitors with delicious pancakes and dumplings with various fillings.
One of the main events of the day was the performance of pupils of the children's and youth sports school "Spas", who demonstrated their skills in martial art and national traditions. After the performance, the presenter solemnly awarded each participant of the school with gifts from the CITY MALL.
Holding Kolodii in all Arricano shopping malls once again proved that Ukrainian traditions are a living cultural code that unites families, creates warm memories and inspires to preserve our heritage.
