GREEN MONTH 2026: how Arricano develops an ecological culture in the cities where it operates

Arricano has traditionally dedicated April to the implementation of environmental initiatives as part of the annual GREEN MONTH project. In 2026, activities united visitors, partners and local communities around the idea of responsible attitude to the environment through practical actions, interactive formats and family leisure with an eco-sense.

The central event was a large-scale eco-day in Prospekt shopping mall, timed to coincide with the International Mother Earth Day. A key element of the event was the initiative to green the DShK park next to the shopping mall: together with tenants and visitors, they planted 10 plane trees and about 100 lilac bushes, contributing to the development of urban space and creating a comfortable environment for the community. Auchan Ukraine hypermarket chain, Brocard, Greek House and multiplex supported the annual tradition of shopping malls by planting their own green spaces.

Partners of the event strengthened the program with activities for different audiences: DECATHLON organized sports locations for basketball, badminton and archery, attracting visitors to the movement, and teachers and students of the National University of Physical Education and Sports of Ukraine held a series of master classes in curling, adaptation games and fitness. For children, there was also an entertainment area with an inflatable obstacle course. The Auchan Ukraine hypermarket provided food for guests, treating participants to sandwiches and maintaining an atmosphere of friendly community.

Visitors also joined the plogging relay, combining physical activity with cleaning the park. The final of the event was the drawing of prizes among the participants, which increased audience involvement and created additional motivation for participation.

RayON shopping mall implemented the ECO CHALLENGE format, an interactive eco-event that combined charity, environmental practices and entertainment. As part of the Re-Point initiative, organized jointly with the charity and social project "Laska", visitors handed over used clothes and shoes for internally displaced persons and low-income families, giving things a second life.

Within the framework of the event in the RayON shopping mall, visitors tested themselves in the Green Quest with team tasks and received eco-shoppers for their activity. For the youngest guests, the play "Lisovychok" was shown, which simply and clearly explains the rules of behavior in nature. And at the thematic workshop, participants created postcards with seeds - later plants will grow from them.

In the CITY MALL, the environmental program was aimed at developing a culture of reuse and eco-skills. Participants painted pots, created postcards from recycled paper, joined the TOYCROSSING initiative - the exchange of toys, visited an interactive performance from the Zaporizhzhia Academic Regional Puppet Theater.

The Sun Gallery shopping mall focused on creative interaction with the topic of ecology. Participants planted plants during the eco-workshop and together created an eco-installation — a large art sculpture in a natural style. An animation program Farm party was organized for children, and the most active participants received custom-designed eco-shoppers.

"We are systematically developing the environmental direction within the framework of the CSR strategy of Arricano, focusing not only on informing, but also on attracting. GREEN MONTH is an opportunity for each visitor to become a part of the changes through simple but important actions. It is this format that allows you to form sustainable habits and a culture of responsible consumption," said Inna Morozova, Marketing Director of Arricano.

GREEN MONTH in Arricano shopping malls once again demonstrates that environmental responsibility can be integrated into everyday life through accessible, interesting and unifying formats.
