On June 24, Arricano celebrated the Sontsekres in ancient Ukrainian traditions in all its shopping malls. The well-known holiday of Ivana Kupala this year was organized by the company in shopping spaces with observance of folk customs and rituals in order to turn Prospekt shopping mall and RayON shopping mall in Kyiv, CITY MALL shopping mall in Zaporizhzhia, and Sun Gallery shopping mall in Kryvyi Rih into centers of Ukrainian culture for the day.

Specially for the Sontsekres in the Prospekt shopping mall, a large-scale and unique thematic location was built, which conveyed the atmosphere of a magical forest. The scenery for its creation took up an area of about 60 m2. In height, individual trees reached up to 4.5 meters, in addition, the location had an artificial pond on its territory, filled with water, and around there was the singing of birds. During the event, the children weaved wreaths of herbs, supplemented them with small candles, made a wish and lowered green charms into the water. 

In addition, in the center of the location, the organizers placed an artificial fire, through which little visitors of the Prospekt shopping mall jumped, and adults took joint family photos. 

The entire location, which became the basis of actions dedicated to the Sontsekres, is a unique, in its characteristics, artificial composite decor, erected inside the shopping mall. 

“We created the effect of presence in a real forest near the lake and recreated the main natural symbols of the Sontsekres in the Prospekt shopping mall. Thanks to this, we managed to achieve a comfortable and cozy atmosphere of rest for spending family leisure in our shopping space. Every weekend Arricano prepares interesting events for Ukrainians that help us to unite adults and children, distract them from everyday troubles, diversify recreation and give positive emotions that are now so important,”said Arricano brand manager Serhii Shalaiev. 

On June 24, visitors to Prospekt shopping mall and RayON shopping mall in Kyiv, CITY MALL shopping mall in Zaporizhzhia, Sun Gallery shopping mall in Kryvyi Rih took part in the traditional celebration of the Sontsekres: they jumped over the fire and danced around it, received predictions from the molfar, were inspired by dance performances and enjoyed the Ukrainian singing of the Vocal Choir Studio of Veryovka Ukrainian Folk Choir , saw the magical performance of a forest wizard and, of course, weaved wreaths of herbs, which later, making a wish, were lowered into the water.

An extremely sincere and touching moment of the Sontsekres was the dance performance of children with Down Syndrome. For their parents, caregivers and children themselves, involvement in the event was a very important component at the stage of full-fledged socialization. During the event, everyone could join the fundraiser to help the Center for Social Adaptation and Integration of Children and Youth with Down Syndrome, which was organized by the Dobriak Charitable Foundation with the support of Arricano.

“Sometimes we get feedback that such events are not on time. However, our children grow up and every day need attention, care and interesting leisure. To postpone childhood for them for later is impossible and unnecessary. "Get inspired. Dream. Live”is a message that is cross-cutting in Arricano projects and is extremely important for the awareness of every Ukrainian.

It is not the first time that Arricano calls on citizens to recall ancient Ukrainian traditions and spend the weekend with their relatives in cozy shopping malls. So, in February, Arricano and generous Kolodii treated all the guests of the four shopping malls of the company with delicious dumplings, and the shopping spaces themselves for the day became centers of Ukrainian folk art.
