Arricano continues to invest in the restoration with the adaptation of a complex of cultural heritage sites of local importance — the building of the office of the Lukianivka city railway park and the building of the power plant of the Lukianivka city railway (the newly discovered cultural heritage site). After restoration, these objects will become part of the unique shopping and entertainment mall "Lukianivka".

The key goal of the restoration works in accordance with the scientific and design documentation was to preserve the authenticity of the facades of buildings, bring them to their original appearance, adapt them to new functions and harmoniously integrate them into the architectural ensemble of the object. When designing the interiors of the future complex, it was decided to focus on the historical heritage — through the design of interiors that reproduce the atmosphere of the Lukianivska city railway.

"The restoration of historical buildings and their adaptation to new functions is an important direction in the development of the city. But it is important for us not only to restore the structures of the building, but also to preserve the historical and architectural heritage and cultural identity of Kyiv. We strive to breathe new life into the old buildings of the office of the Lukianivka city railway park and the power plant of the Lukianivka city railway, to make them functional and meet the modern needs of the city. At the same time, we understand that we need to preserve the unique style of the space and its cultural value,” says Mykola Yakymenko, Head of the Development Department of the Arricano Group of Companies in Ukraine. — To date, a significant part of the restoration of the facade of the power plant building has already been completed: foundations have been strengthened, a new roof with a drainage system has been arranged and works on the restoration of the wall facades have been completed. We managed to "revive" the historic 100-year-old building, which was under the threat of self-destruction, in order not only to preserve, but also to make it part of the future public space."

In accordance with the permission to perform works on monuments issued by the Department of Cultural Heritage Protection of the executive body of the Kyiv city Council (Kyiv city State Administration) on April 17, 2025, in May 2025, it is planned to continue the restoration work with the adaptation of the building of the office of the Lukianivka city railway park. 
Among the planned restoration works are the full range of repair and restoration works on the facades (reinforcement of the foundation, filling the cracks in the walls, waterproofing of foundations, opening of laid holes, restoration of brickwork, replacement of the roof and roofing, etc.) in order to return the building to a stylistically integral appearance, as well as other works that are determined by the scientific and design documentation agreed in the prescribed manner.

"I want to draw attention to the fact that in the development of design solutions, traditional and modern restoration materials and methods were used, which were developed in the process of long-term studies of monuments, field studies of objects. We used the foreign experience of restoring unique architectural objects," Mykola Yakymenko emphasizes. — The Arricano team is aware of the high level of responsibility, therefore, at all stages of planning, preparation and implementation of works on the restoration of monuments with adaptation, we involve experienced specialists — leading Ukrainian research institutes and design companies, international and Ukrainian architectural bureaus; professional builders and performers of restoration works. Separately, we are doing everything to ensure that the process of repair and restoration work and adaptation work is carried out openly, with the involvement of all stakeholders."

Thus, on May 12, a regular working meeting was held at the facility with representatives of the Department of Cultural Heritage Protection of the Kyiv city State Administration with the participation of representatives of the public community. During this meeting, the company's specialists provided all the answers regarding the plans and the process of work on historical buildings.
