Arricano summed up the results of 2023 and announced plans for 2024

In 2023, the shopping malls of the Arricano Real Estate LLC management company (Prospekt, RayON, CITY MALL and Sun Gallery) were visited by more than 23 million guests, which exceeded expectations and previous forecasts. 

"In Kyiv shopping malls during the year we observed a positive trend, and in some months we achieved pre-war attendance rates. Despite the fact that in autumn the number of alarms during working hours in Kryvyi Rih and Zaporizhzhia reached 50%, our shopping malls in these cities also reduced the gap with the pre-war traffic figures," said Anna Chubotina, CEO of Arricano.  

At the end of 2023, the company's Kyiv shopping malls achieved a vacancy rate of 0%, and in regional projects – less than 1%.

In 2023, Arricano project companies signed more than 60 lease agreements for an area exceeding 7,000 square meters. Among the signatories are tenants such as Comfy, Adidas, Megasport, Ukrzoloto and others. This was facilitated by both planned rotations and an active search for tenants, since in the first half of 2023 demand among them was relatively restrained.

"It is important to add that at the end of 2023 we are seeing an increase in demand in Kyiv projects, we have a waiting list. In total, Kyiv projects demonstrated sustainability and according to the results of 2023, the company showed indicators at the same level as before the full-scale invasion. Regarding regional facilities, given the difficult situation with shelling, demand remains restrained, but stable," said Anna Chubotina.

This year, the company plans to continue investing in the renovation and improvement of regional facilities. In Zaporizhzhia and Kryvyi Rih, Arricano will strengthen and diversify its shopping malls with popular and sought-after brands. In the spring 2024, the anchor tenant – a grocery hypermarket – will be changed in the Sun Gallery shopping mall and the CITY MALL shopping mall. 

"Currently, the biggest priority is to replace the anchor tenant Auchan Ukraine in regional projects in Zaporizhzhia and Kryvyi Rih. We can't provide details yet, we'll let you know more information soon. In addition, we plan to reduce the area of the product category and, thanks to this, expand the range of other stores. Our customers show request for that,"Anna Chubotina assured.

Unfortunately, in Kryvyi Rih, the situation is complicated by partial damage to the shopping mall as a result of an enemy attack on the city. On February 3, the operation of the part of the shopping center that suffered minor damage was resumed, and according to experts, it is safe for visitors and staff. Auchan Ukraine hypermarket, stores in the checkout area and part of the gallery of the first floor were the first to resume their work. Work on the restoration of the damaged part of the shopping mall is planned to be implemented in a short time. 

In Kyiv, Arricano also has a number of planned rotations in order to increase the efficiency of specific tenants.

"In general, we plan to change the formats of some current tenants, and we want to expand the category of clothing in Prospekt shopping mall, and the household goods category in RayON shopping mall. This, of course, is the request of visitors," explained Anna Chubotina.

In 2024, Arricano will also continue to work on the project of a shopping mall on Lukianivka in Kyiv. Among the planned works there are the arrangement of engineering networks, the restoration of the architectural monument building located on the territory of the shopping mall and the finalization of the concept and strategy for the development of the facility.
